Job Summary:


 


The District Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Operations. The District Manager develops and maintains all day to day operations of the company, as well as practices and enforces the core values of CLIENT. The District Manager works with the Dispensary Manager to resolve any staff or patient conflicts.  


  


Job Responsibilities:



  •  Hire, train, schedule and manage staff at all the dispensaries to achieve established standards, sales and profit objectives as well as customer satisfaction.



  • Ensure that all deadlines are met and take accountability for completion.



  • Drive a culture of positive employee engagement with a strong focus on inclusion & diversity.



  • Develop, coach and consistently execute CLIENT’s service standards.



  • Ensure consistent execution of steps of service by using tools such as quarterly departmental staff meetings, and customer feedback.



  • Constantly work to improve standards and customer satisfaction.



  • Take ownership of CLIENT dispensary business and ensure the dispensaries operate efficiently and profitably.



  • Actively manage inventory, recalls, and pricing to meet cost and sales targets.



  • Effectively manage cash controls and financial reporting. Ensure check register, cash outs, bank logs, inventory and deposits are accurate and executed according to CLIENT standard.



  • Effectively manage service labor, scheduling and payroll.



  • Perform business management operations and analyses such as P&L; develop and review KPI reports for dispensaries to monitor opportunities and challenges with a goal to maximize revenues and profits.



  • Proactively monitor dispensary profit and loss and develop effective mitigation between actual performance and company budget and projections.



  • Work with management team to develop insight as for business decisions.



  • Maintain a general awareness of cannabis and retail trends to help create innovative and adaptive strategies. Work closely with grower-processors to understand and learn about their products.



  • Work with the Director of each Dispensary to meet all regulatory requirements. Correct all violations with a sense of urgency. Work with CLIENT's corporate office to ensure standards are met.



  • Maintain open lines of communication with staff: management and hourly.



  • Promote open feedback from retail staff, medical professional team, and marketing department.



  • Become a subject matter expert in Pennsylvania's seed-to-sale tracking system MJ Freeway.


Flexibility


Accepting a position with CLIENT, may require the District Manager to  work at the all  dispensary locations and other off-site locations.  You must be willing to travel.




It may become necessary for the District Manager to rotate between dispensaries and other off-site locations. The District Manager may be asked to change shifts, positions, work overtime, work weekends, and holidays, and refusal to do may be grounds for termination.

Education: 


High school diploma or GED required. Bachelors a plus. point of sales system and use of Microsoft office programs preferred. Previous management experience strongly preferred.



Experience:



  • Years of experience in a retail operation, 10 years previous management experience required  must have experience in overseeing multiple sites



  • Must be patient service focused with the ability to deliver high customer satisfaction.


  • Present a professional image in appearance, actions and words


  • Excellent verbal communication skills required, ability to develop relationship with customers to provide a positive experience.


  • Must be flexible regarding work schedule to include being willing to work 5-6 days per week including evening and weekends and be willing to open and close the store


  • Reliable transportation


  • Knowledge of how cannabis works in the human body


  • Familiarity with common ailments and causes for discomfort


  • Patience, Consistency, and Accuracy


  • Mathematics (cash transactions and dosages for patients)

Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements:


 


In compliance with the state of Pennsylvania all employees who come in contact with or handle medicinal cannabis, including medicinal cannabis infusion products, must be at least 18 years of age and will be subject to an FBI fingerprinting process as part of a criminal history background check in compliance with the procedures established by the Office of Medical Marijuana  – certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state medical marijuana licensing regulations.


 


Team members must also successfully pass the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Program 2-hour compliance training, Train PA.


 



 


 

















Working Conditions



 Uniform/Dress Requirements:



Dispensary staff are required to wear clean, appropriate attire that includes pants/skirt, a dispensary issued tee shirt and/or white lab coats for those employees who are in a Medical Professional or Medical Consultants role and appropriate closed toed footwear. Employees may not wear anything that covers their  tee shirt.

Computer, register, hand scanner, printer
